      • Conservatively trimming/filing of the toenail
      • Advice on footwear
      • Advice on nail cutting
      • Pressure relief padding
      • Treatment for a fungal toenail infection (if appropriate)
      • Toenail surgery (to permanently remove the nail under local anaesthetic)
      • Referral to a dermatologist or other specialist (if appropriate)
